How green home loans work in Scotland
Getting a green home loan for solar panels, battery storage or an air source heat pump is straightforward. We arrange no-obligation surveys and quotes for paid installations; installation is by our MCS-certified partner. Loans available, subject to status. Here is how the process works from first enquiry to installed system.

Step by step: from enquiry to installation
You make an enquiry
Use our short form or call us on 0141 230 0198. Tell us your postcode, property type and what you are interested in — solar panels, battery storage, an air source heat pump, or a combination.
We arrange a no-obligation survey
A local surveyor visits at a time that suits you to assess your home suitability — roof, insulation, heating system, access and how each technology would fit.
You receive an itemised quote
We send a clear quote covering equipment, labour and VAT, with a representative finance example so you can see what spreading the cost could look like. No pressure, no obligation.
You decide in your own time
Take the quote away, compare it, ask questions. If you decide to go ahead, we move to scheduling. If not, that is completely fine.
Installation by our MCS-certified partner
We install through MCS-certified partners. The installation is scheduled, carried out and commissioned, and you are walked through how your new system works.
Aftercare and support
If you have questions after installation, our team is on the end of the phone. Warranties on equipment are handled through the manufacturer and our partner.
What the survey covers
A no-obligation survey is the cornerstone of a fair quote. Rather than guessing from a satellite image, a surveyor visits your home and checks the things that actually determine what will work. The survey is free of pressure — its only purpose is to give you accurate information.
Solar panels
Rooftop photovoltaic panels generate electricity from daylight. A surveyor checks roof orientation, pitch, shading and structural condition to recommend a suitable system size.
Battery storage
A home battery stores surplus electricity so you can use it when generation is low — for example on winter evenings. The surveyor advises on capacity and where it would be installed.
Air source heat pumps
An air source heat pump provides heating and hot water efficiently using electricity. The surveyor carries out a heat loss assessment to size the system for your home.
How the finance works
A green home loan lets you spread the cost of your installation over time. Loans available, subject to status. We do not quote interest rates, loan amounts or savings figures on this website. Instead, every quote includes a representative finance example so you can see what spreading the cost could look like for your specific installation. You are never obliged to take up finance — paying directly is also an option.
